2023.01.27Event French Café (B.S.P. Minoh)
In January 20th & 27th (Fri.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, “French Café” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 5 international students and 12 local students. The participants talked in French about their favorite town and cheese in France. It was a useful time between native French speaking students and local students who are learning French. French Café will be going to be held also in the next semester of 2023.
2023.01.26Event Korean Cafe (B.S.P. Minoh)
In January 26th (Thu.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, the last Korean Café for this semester was held by B.S.P. Minoh. It was held 7 times between October and January. The total number of participants was 48 international students and 48 local students. It was a useful time with the international students between native Korean speaking students and local students who learn Korean. Korean Café will be going to be held also in the next semester of 2023.
2023.01.26Event Japanese Café (B.S.P. Minoh)
In January 24th (Tue.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, the last Japanese Café for this semester was held by B.S.P. Minoh. It was held from October to January once a week. The total number of participants was 247 international students and 170 local students. It was a great opportunity to make friends for participants. Japanese Café will be going to be held also in the next semester of 2023.

In January 23rd (Mon.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, “Indonesian Cafe” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 7 international students and 1 local student. Participants talked in Indonesian about various topics. They all had a warm and peaceful time together.

In January 23rd (Mon.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, “Turkish Cafe” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 4 international students and 4 local students. Participants talked about Japanese comics in Turkish. They all had a warm and peaceful time together.
2023.01.24Seminar/Guidance 8th Job Search Strategy Seminar for International Students
January 23rd (Mon.), 2022, 17:30~19:00 , 8th Job Search Strategy Seminar for International Students: Preparing on-line group interviews was held by CIEE. Seven international students at Osaka University participated in the event. The participants learned about the tips on how to go through on-line job interviews, followed by the sham group interviews.

In January 19th (Thu.), 12:20-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, the last English Café for this semester was held by B.S.P. Minoh. It was held 6 times between October and January. The total number of participants was 86 international students and 81 local students. It was a useful time with the international students between native English speaking students and local students who learn English. English Café will be going to be held also in the next semester of 2023.

In January 18th (Wed.) 12:20 p.m. -, on the 5th floor of Research and Education Hub “Arabic Café” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 4 international students and 7 local students. Participants talked in Arabic about Halal in Japan and Halal-adaptive restaurant in Osaka. They all had a warm and peaceful time together.
2023.01.18Event Japanese Café (B.S.P. Toyonaka)
January 18th (Wed.), 2023, 12:15- “Japanese Cafe”, the last one of this semester, was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants of the semester was 195 international students and 49 local students in total. They got to interact with students from various countries/regions, faculties, and grades in Japanese Café. The cafes were always lively and enjoyable weekly events.
2023.01.17Event Mochi Making Event (OUISA)
Jan.12th (Thu), 2023, 16:30- A mochi making event「LET'S MAKE MOCHI TOGETHER」was held at IRIS by OUISA. The number of participants was 16 international students.
Participants made their own original Fruit Daifuku topped with their favorite fruits such as strawberries, kiwis, oranges on mochi with sweet bean paste.
They all had a warm and peaceful time together.
(Fruit Daifuku is a type of Japanese sweets that consists of sweet bean paste in a rice cake with fruits on top and inside.)

Jan. 11th(Wed), 2023, 12:15- the last "Japanese Café Suita" of this semester was held at IRIS by B.S.P. Suita. The number of participants was 9 international students and 5 local students. At the Japanese Cafe, held every Wednesday, is always full of laughter, and sometimes the session did not finish until the next class started. B.S.P. Suita was able to provide a place where people could enjoy speaking Japanese.

January 10th (Tue.), 12:20 p.m. -, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, “Kakizome (Calligraphy) Party” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 11 international students and 7 local students. The international students experienced the traditional event of Japanese New Year, and they had a good time.

They were divided into some groups and enjoyed making chocolate bananas and apple candies, while interacting with each other. Students brought them home to enjoy later.

The number of participants was 9 international students and 5 local students. The participants were divided into groups and enjoyed German conversations. It was a useful time between native German speaking students and local students who are learning German.

Jan. 5 (Thu), 2023, 12:15 p.m.-, “Calligraphy” was held by B.S.P. Suita. The participants were twelve international students and six local students. They enjoyed writing calligraphy to pray good luck for new year.
January 6th (Fri.), 2023, 12:15- “KAKIZOME” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 7 international students and 6 local students. They enjoyed writing New Year’s resolution and favorite words while talking to each other. The evet was a great opportunity for them.

December 23rd (Fri.), 2022, 12:15- “ITO” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 5 international students and 4 local students. They enjoyed playing ITO with some topics, while talking to each other. The event was a great opportunity for them.
2022.12.22Event Cooking Event (B.S.P. Minoh)
In December 21st (Wed.), 18:00-, Cooking Event, “Tiramisu making” was held by B.S.P. Minoh at CIEE Minoh Branch. The number of participants was 10 international students and 5 local students. After an Italian international student explained how to make tiramisu and the participants really enjoyed making tiramisu. For prevention of COVID-19, they brought the mini-cup tiramisu home to enjoy later.
2022.12.22Event Project HELP! Mingle Event for mentors and mentees
The Project HELP! mingle event for mentors and mentees was held during the lunch break on December 15. The participants exchanged information with each other and deepened their friendship.
December. 20th (Tue), 2022, 12:10- "OUISA HOUR ~Fiji Islands~" was held at IRIS by OUISA. The number of participants was nine international students offline. Shyam Maisuria, an international student in the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, introduced Republic of Fiji, the country of his origin. He talked about a wide range of contents, from history, culture, to daily life, followed by a lively Q&A session.
2022.12.20Event Winter Party (B.S.P. Minoh)
In December 16th (Fri.), 18:30-, on the 5th floor of “Research and Education Hub”, “Winter Party” was held by B.S.P. Minoh. The number of participants was 31 international students and 15 local students. Through games and quizzes performed by international and local students, a warm and peaceful welcome party was held.
2022.12.20Event Let’s make New Year’s Cards! (B.S.P. Suita)
December 19(Mon.), 2022, 12:15- "Let’s make New Year's Cards!" was held by B.S.P. Suita at IRIS. Thirteen international students and five local students participated. They wrote New Year's greeting messages and enjoyed making New Year's greeting cards by pasting a rabbit, the Chinese zodiac sign for the year 2023, and various New Year's decorations.

December 7th (Fri.), 2022, 17:30~19:00 , 7th Job Search Strategy Seminar for International Students: Preparing interviews and group discussion (on-line and off-line) was held by CIEE. Foue international students at Osaka University participated in the event. The participants learned about the tips on how to go through job interviews and group discussions, followed by the sham group discussion.

December 15th (Thu.), 2022, 12:15- “Cooking Cookie” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 6 international students and 5 local students. They enjoyed making cookies with various flavors such as maccha, cocoa, chocolate and the like. The baking time was good opportunity to talk to each other. They brought back them home to eat later.

The number of participants was 8 international students and 16 local students. Participants talked in Italian about how to spend “New Year’s Holidays”. They all had a warm and peaceful time together.
2022.12.15Event OU × SJTU Exchange Meeting
Dec.14(Wed.), 2022, 17:30-19:30, “OU×SJTU Exchange Meeting“was held online. The number of participants was six international students, five local students and 10 faculty members from OU, 47 students and faculty members from SJTU. After opening remarks by representative students from both universities, presentations on a total of six themes were given, followed by group discussions in breakout rooms. Presentations and exchanges of views from various perspectives, including a day in the life of university students on both sides and interviews with students, provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding and exchange about Japanese and Chinese culture and student life.

December 12th (Mon.), 2022, 17:30~19:00, 7th Job Search Strategy Seminar for International Students: Preparing entry sheets and company recruiting fairs was held by CIEE. Fifteen international students at Osaka University participated in the event. The participants learned about how to write effective entry sheets and tips on joining company recruiting fairs.

Sixteen international students at Osaka University participated in the event. The two breakout rooms (Science/Engineering Room and Liberal Arts Room) were created. The participants joined their favorite rooms and heard about the job-hunting experiences by 6 Handai international students with job offers.

The number of participants was 10 international students and two local students offline, and two international students online. GRAEFF Joel Dominik, who is an OUSSEP student, introduced South Africa, the country of his origin. He talked about a wide range of contents, from history, culture, to daily life, followed by a lively Q&A session.

November 23rd (Wed.), 2022, 13:30- “Half Day Trip The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka. The number of participants was 6 international students and 2 local students. They really enjoyed seeing re-created buildings and streets in Osaka in the past, instead of Mt. Rokko cancelled due to rain. They had a great time together.

2022.11.24Event Sports Festival ’22
November 19 (Sat.), from 1:00 p.m., “Sports Festival '22” was held by OUISA and B.S.P. Suita on Suita Campus and 70 international students and 15 local students participated in the event. The participants worked up a good sweat by challenging themselves in a wide variety of sports, from futsal, basketball, and other ball games to arm wrestling and yoga. New encounters were made and everyone enjoyed the exercise together.
2022.11.23Event Japanese Traditional Play Day (B.S.P. Suita)
Nov. 21 (Mon.), 2022, 12:15-“Japanese Traditional Play Day” was held by B.S.P. Suita at IRIS. The number of participants was 18 international students and five local students. They enjoyed interacting with each other through traditional Japanese games such as Kendama (Cup and Ball), Koma (Spinning Top), Bouzu-Mekuri (Japanese traditional card game) and Origami (Paper-folding).
2022.11.21Event Gathering for inbound and outbound exchange students
We had an event, "Gathering for inbound and outbound exchange students" on Nov 18th Thurs from 12:10 at Toyonaka Campus. The event attracted 63 exchange students from and bound for the partner institutions and offered an opportunity to get to know one another, expand their student network, and share their oversea experience.
November 14th (Mon.), 2022, 12:30- “Cooking Cookie” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 9 international students and 3 local students. They enjoyed making original cookies, using various cookie cutters and colorful chocolates topping. The baking time was also a good time for some first participants and other students to talk to each other. They brought cookies home to enjoy later.

November 11th (Fri.), 2022, 12:15- “Takoyaki Making Class” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 5 international students and 2 local students. They enjoyed making original Takoyaki, putting octopus, green onion, tempura flakes, chocolates and so on. Students brought Takoyaki home to enjoy later.
