“Osaka 8.8 million drill” will be conducted at 10:00 on Wednesday, November 5 (tomorrow).
The drill is for each individual in Osaka to think, act, and reaffirm actions to take in advance of disasters.
On the day of drill, area-specific emails and emergency alerts will be sent.
For details, please refer to the following site:

About 8.8 million training in Osaka in 2025 / Osaka Prefecture website [Osaka Prefectural Government]

    Receiving "Area Mail/Emergency Bulletin Mail"

The emergency alerts have been actually sent when evacuation advisories were issued for certain areas during heavy rains and typhoons in the past. Many people were surprised by the sudden alerts, not understanding their contents.
During this drill, you will receive a similar emergency alert email as part of the training.
In the future, similar messages may also be sent depending on the situation, such as earthquakes or severe weather conditions.
We wanted to inform you in advance so that you won’t be surprised when you receive such messages.
