Course Objective

1. Students will be able to discuss the major categories of variables that have been studied in educational psychology in an attempt to answer the question "Why do some students learn more than others?"
2. Students will be able to discuss the major components and techniques of classroom planning, management and instruction that have been addressed in the study of the teaching/learning process.
3. Students will be able to define learning and compare and contrast the factors that cognitive, behavioral, and humanistic theorists believe influence the learning process.

Course Content
   The mission of the Educational Psychology course is to provide instructors with the information needed to focus on the core principles of learning, use these principles to understand the learning and behavior of students, and consistently apply these principles to classroom practice. This course explains the cognitive, linguistic, personal, social, and moral development of individuals as well as individual and group differences. This lesson also describes behaviorist and social cognitive views of learning, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and informal and formal assessments. We will also discuss about educational system through the semester.
