Objective
   to understand the basics of engineering with robots; to explorer the relation between robots and society

Course Content
   This course covers the following topics: introduction to robots; robot engineering; relation between robots and society; future of robots. There are also an individual project and a group work over the topics related with robots and society. No former engineering class experience is required.

Course Schedule
   Introduction to robots: "What is robot?"
   Robotics: Engineering with robots
   Relation between robots and society: "Is robot necessary for society?"
   Robots' future: "How can robots contribute for society?"
   * Detailed class plan would be announced at the class

Textbook
   Handouts will be distributed.
   For robotics basics, which is not required for this course, the "Introduction to Robotics: Mechanics and Control" by John J. Craig is recommended.
