Course Objective
The objectives of this course are to understand the real situation of global health and to discuss the global partnership and collaboration for upgrading health situation of the people in the world.
Requirement / Prerequisite
Anyone can participate in the class. No needs of health professionals.
Course Content
Global health development is to promote better health around the world by collaborating all the people who work for improvement and equity in global health.
Each year, all around the world, tens of millions of human beings die needlessly, and hundreds of millions of lives are ravaged by ill health.
Health systems are comprised of public and private organizations that provide the services, information and financial means needed to improve people's health status.
The intensive development of primary health care systems began with the declaration of "Health for All" at Alma Ata in 1978, and over the past two decades, health services have expanded and improved.
However, there are still wide disparities in the availability and effectiveness of health services, especially between rich and poor countries, as well as between rich and poor people in countries.
In the course, we will make discussions focused on the several key issues, such as, health care system, population, child health, reproductive health and rights, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and refugee health.

Health Care System in developing countries
NGO activities in developing countries
Child Health in developing countries
Maternal and Child Health Handbook Program
HIV/AIDS in the world
Humanitarian assistance and Disaster preparedness
Textbooks
The text is distributed in the class.
The related literatures are as follows;

Grading Policy
Participation 50%, presentation and reporting 50%.
The students are expected to participate in the discussion at the class.
The presentation and discussions are conducted in English.
