Course Objective
   This course is intended to intrroduce students to the basics of Western political philosphy, covering the writings of classical Greek philosophers up to the thinkers of the Enlightenment.

Course Content
   Lectures followed by discussions on given topics each week. There will be a midterm student presentations and a short final essay.

Textbooks
   There is no set textbook for this course, Readings will be handed out each week, and there will be books on reserve at the university library A reading list will be provided on the first day of class.

Grading Policy
   Participation in class 30%. Midterm presentation 35%. Final essay 35%.
