Chemistry and Human Life

Objective
   This course will relate to the chemical substances and chemistry-based topics, which include inorganic and organic materials. The current frontiers in molecular sciences will be introduced for students with no chemistry background.

Course Outline
   In the lectures, the following five topics will be presented.

1. An introduction to light, electron, and molecules
2. An introduction to nanoscience and nanotechnology
3. Current topics of natural products
4. Radioisotopes and related topics
5. Current topics in inorganic chemistry

Textbook and Reference
   No particular textbook will be used.

Grading
   Evaluation will be based on class participation (50%) and report (50%).
