Current Topics in Earth and Space Sciences

Tadashi KONDO, Hiroshi SHIBAI, Akira TSUCHIYAMA, Jun|ichi MATSUDA,Fumio TAKAHARA,Hideaki TAKABE (Graduate School of Science, Earth and Space Science)

Objective
In this course, we will introduce new concepts of the origin and structure of the Universe, Clusters of Galaxies, Galaxies, Clusters, Planet and Earth. They will be explained in various approaches both by theory and by observation. In the deep space observation, we cover the very large wavelength from radio, infra-red, visible light, ultra-violet, X-rays and gamma rays. In the planetary science, space crafts visit various objects and send back new findings. In the deep earth study, we can directly measure physical parameters. These are done by employing the state-of-art technologies. This lecture consists of 15 classes. Since there are 5 sub-groups in the topics, each topics is given in 2?4 classes. There is no text book while each lecturer will show you a list for reading if there is.
