Objective
  Information and communication network is one of the basic infrastructures that support the present information society. This class presents introductory lectures on various aspects of information and communication technologies, which include the following topics.

Letcture Outline
  •Broadband society and optical communications (history and present)
  •Advanced optical fiber communications/IP over photonic network
  •Wireless communication technologies for future ubiquitous society
  •Radio on fiber, free space optics/radio technologies and their applications
  •Computer networks
  •Media security with information hiding/Multimedia content processing
  •Remote sensing by means of optics and electromagnetic waves on the ground and from the space

  Participation in class: 50%
