Objective
Frontier Chemical Engineering covers the phenomenological research
in chemical conversion processes, which deal with material synthesis and separation,
energy conversion and storage, and design and development of functional or green
(environmental friendly) materials/catalyst with high conversion efficiencies,
as well as the development of novel nano/bio/medical and industrial processes
and contribution to solving energy and global environmental problems for sustainable
society. Recent research topics in the division of Materials/Chemical Engineering
Science and the Research Center for Solar Energy Chemistry are reviewed.

No particular textbook will be used.
Grading
Evaluation will be based on class participation (50%) and report
(50%).
