INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN A GLOBALIZING WORLD

Nobuyuki KATAOKA (International Student Center)

Objective
We are living in an increasingly globalized world today. This course will examine the effects of globalization on various political, economic, and cultural aspects of contemporary international relations as well as provide basic knowledge on wide-ranging problems in the world today. Students will be encouraged to actively express their opinions and also to carefully listen what others from different parts of the world have to say, in order to turn the class itself into "international relations in a globalizing world", which is a unique OUSSEP opportunity.

There will be no assigned textbook. Short reading materials will be distributed in class each week.
